George Frederic Watts (1817-1904) was a British painter and sculptor whose works focused on themes of death, love, and immortality. He was a major influence on the Pre-Raphaelite movement and was one of the most renowned British artists of the Victorian era. His works, including paintings, sculptures, and prints, are known for their intense emotion and symbolism. His style was unique and he was often referred to as the "English Michelangelo".
