Alessandro Allori (1535-1607) was an Italian Mannerist painter of the Florentine school. He was trained by his uncle, Bronzino, and worked closely with him in the studio. Allori's paintings are characterised by their vivid colours and the use of light and shadow to create a dramatic atmosphere. His works often depict mythological or religious scenes and were highly sought after during his lifetime.
