Dutch Artist, 1568 - 1625
Jan Brueghel the Elder (1568-1625) was a Flemish Baroque painter, son of the famous Renaissance painter Pieter Bruegel the Elder. He is best known for his landscapes, still lifes, and collaborations with other painters, including Peter Paul Rubens. He was highly regarded for his detailed and realistic depictions of nature, and his works are featured in many of the world's leading art galleries.
