Paolo Uccello (1397-1475) was an Italian painter and draftsman of the early Renaissance. His works are characterised by a meticulous attention to detail and a unique use of perspective. He was particularly known for his pioneering studies of linear perspective, which revolutionized the way artists depicted space. He also made major contributions to the development of the art of fresco painting. His works are widely admired for their vivid colours and graceful compositions.
