Eva Gonzales was a French Impressionist painter who was born in 1849 and died in 1883. She was a close friend of Edgar Degas and was one of the few female artists of the Impressionist movement. Her works are characterised by a bright palette and a bold use of colour. She often focused on the everyday life of Parisian women and children. Her works are highly sought-after and can be found in many major art galleries and museums around the world.
