Gustave Caillebotte (1848-1894) was a French painter and art collector, best known for his realist depictions of Parisian life. His works often featured urban scenes of Parisian streets and parks, as well as scenes of leisure activities, such as sailing and swimming. His paintings are characterised by a unique perspective and bold use of colour. He was a major influence on the Impressionists, and his works are now highly sought-after fine art prints.
