Honore Daumier
French Artist, 1808 - 1879
Honore Daumier (1808-1879) was a French artist best known for his satirical caricatures of the political and social life of 19th century France. He was a prolific artist who created thousands of lithographs, drawings, and paintings that remain highly influential to this day. Daumier's works often featured exaggerated facial features and bodies to emphasize the absurdity of his subjects. He is considered one of the most important French artists of the 19th century.
