Elizabeth Adela Stanhope Forbes (1859-1912) was an English artist known for her romanticised depictions of the Cornish landscape. She was a member of the Newlyn School of painters, a group of artists who were inspired by the beauty of the Cornish countryside and developed a distinct style of painting. Her work is characterized by its vivid colours, romanticised figures, and strong light and dark contrasts.
