Johann Zoffany (1733-1810) was a German-born painter active in Britain during the 18th-century. He is best known for his portraits and conversation pieces, and his works are highly sought after for their detailed depictions of everyday life. His work is often characterised by its lively brushwork and vibrant colours. Today, Zoffany's works are highly collectible, and are available in the form of fine art prints.
