Edouard Vuillard

French Artist, 1868 - 1940
Edouard Vuillard (1868-1940) was a French painter and printmaker associated with the Nabi movement. He was known for his intimate, domestic scenes of middle-class interiors, which often featured women in the foreground. His use of bold colours and patterns, along with his expressive brushstrokes, created a unique visual language that was highly influential in the development of modern art. Vuillard's works are now highly sought after and can be found in many of the world's leading art museums.
