Norwegian Artist, 1847 - 1906
Frits Thaulow (1847-1906) was a Norwegian Impressionist painter. He was known for his lively brushwork and use of light and colour, which he applied to his landscapes, cityscapes, and marine scenes. His work was greatly influenced by his travels in France, Germany, Italy, and Scandinavia. He was a member of the Berlin Secession and continued to paint until his death in 1906. His works are now highly sought after and can be found in many major museums and galleries.
