Louise Rayner (1832-1924) was a British watercolour painter, primarily of landscapes and architecture. Born in Matlock, Derbyshire in 1832, Rayner was largely self-taught and developed a distinctive style of painting that was highly sought after in her lifetime. Her works are characterised by vivid colours and a strong attention to detail, depicting scenes of everyday life and the beauty of the English countryside.
