Berthe Morisot (1841-1895) was a French Impressionist painter and printmaker. She was a prominent figure in the Impressionist movement, and her works are characterised by a unique combination of lightness and delicacy. Her paintings often depicted scenes of everyday life, such as women in their gardens, children playing, and landscapes. She was also an avid printmaker, creating a number of images in etching and aquatint. Her prints are highly sought after and are considered some of the finest examples of Impressionism in printmaking.
