Luis Egidio Melendez was a Spanish Baroque painter known for his still life and genre paintings. He was born in 1716 in Valencia and moved to Madrid in 1745. His works are characterised by their vibrant colours and exquisite attention to detail. His works were highly sought after by the Spanish Royal Family and other European aristocrats. His artworks are still highly sought after today and can be found in many art galleries and museums around the world.
