Albert Lebourg (1849-1928) was a French Post-Impressionist painter who is best known for his landscapes and seascapes. He was born in Montfort-sur-Risle in Normandy, France, and studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Rouen. His work is characterised by its vibrant colours and bold brushstrokes, and he often used thick layers of paint to create the illusion of texture. Lebourg's paintings are considered to be among the most beautiful of the French Impressionist movement, and his work continues to be admired and collected today.
