William Callow (1812-1908) was a British painter and printmaker who was known for his romantic landscapes and marine scenes. He was a prolific artist, producing many etchings, lithographs and watercolours. He was also a teacher and mentor to younger artists. He was a member of the Royal Academy and the Society of Painters in Water Colours. His works are held in many public and private collections around the world.
