Rosa Bonheur
1822 - 1899
Rosa Bonheur was a French artist known for her highly realistic paintings of animals, which often featured horses, bulls, and other wildlife. She was one of the most famous female artists of the 19th century, and her works remain popular to this day. Bonheur was also known for her activism in favor of women's rights, and she was the first woman to be awarded the Cross of the Legion of Honor. Her work is available as fine art prints, allowing art lovers to bring her art into their homes.
We have 24 artworks in our catalogue by Bonheur available for order. Browse our full collection of Bonheur prints, or browse other French or Realism artists.
Of our Prints and Others...

The quality of a Giclée fine art print may be generally reckoned from the weight, and therefore, thickness, of the printing paper that is used. That is, the heavier, weightier the printing paper that is used, the better the likely quality. Weight of paper is measured in 'Grams per Square Metre' or 'gsm' for short. So, without further ado...

  • Allposters Standard 'Smooth' Giclée = 235 gsm
