John Frederick Kensett

John Frederick Kensett was an American painter and printmaker known for his luminous landscapes of the northeastern United States. His work was part of the Hudson River School, a mid-19th century movement of landscape painters. His paintings were characterised by their soft and subtle colour palette, as well as their delicate light and atmospheric effects. He was a master of the etching process and produced some of the most beautiful fine art prints of his era.
