Tsukioka Yoshitoshi (1839-1892) was a Japanese artist known for his ukiyo-e woodblock prints and paintings. He is considered one of the last great masters of the genre and is remembered for his innovative and dramatic works, which often depicted scenes from Japanese history and folklore. His work was highly influential in the development of modern Japanese art and his prints remain popular to this day.
