Toshusai Sharaku
1770 - 1825
Toshusai Sharaku was a Japanese ukiyo-e artist active in the late 18th century. He is best known for his masterful portraits of kabuki actors, which are characterised by their bold, expressive lines and striking use of colour. His works are considered to be some of the finest examples of ukiyo-e art, and his prints have become highly sought after by collectors of fine art prints.

Of our Prints and Others...
The quality of a Giclée fine art print may be generally reckoned from the weight, and therefore, thickness, of the printing paper that is used. That is, the heavier, weightier the printing paper that is used, the better the likely quality. Weight of paper is measured in 'Grams per Square Metre' or 'gsm' for short. So, without further ado...
