Salomon van Ruysdael was a Dutch landscape painter of the Baroque era. He was born in Naarden in 1602 and spent most of his life in Haarlem. His work epitomizes the Dutch Golden Age of painting with its romantic, atmospheric landscapes. His work has been widely celebrated and reproduced in fine art prints, bringing his stunningly detailed and poetic visions of nature into homes around the world.
