Eric Ravilious (1903-1942) was an English painter, designer, and book illustrator who was best known for his watercolours and wood engravings. He studied at the Royal College of Art in London, and his work is often associated with the British countryside and the Arts and Crafts movement. His art is characterised by its attention to detail, muted colours, and its celebration of the everyday. His work has been widely exhibited, and his prints are highly sought after by collectors.
