Monet's Haystacks series is a collection of 25 oil paintings created by the French Impressionist Claude Monet in 1890-91. These paintings depict stacks of harvested wheat in the field of the artist's property in Giverny. The paintings capture the changing effects of light and atmosphere on the stacks throughout the day, season, and year. Monet's Haystacks series is considered one of his most important works and is often viewed as a precursor to his later Water Lilies series.
