Angelica Kauffmann was a Swiss-born artist who is remembered for her contributions to the Neoclassical style of painting. She was a versatile artist, painting portraits, landscapes, and frescoes. Her work was highly sought after by the most prominent members of European society, including the royal families of Austria and England. Kauffmann was also a founding member of the Royal Academy of Arts in London.
