Suzuki Harunobu (1725-1770) was an influential Japanese artist and printmaker of the Ukiyo-e genre. He was one of the first Japanese artists to produce full-colour prints and was a pioneer in the development of the nishiki-e (brocade prints) style. His works often depicted scenes of everyday life, landscapes, and kabuki actors, and were admired for their delicate lines, subtle colouration, and graceful compositions. His prints remain some of the most beloved and iconic works of art from the Edo period.
