Francisco de Zurbarán (1598-1664) was a Spanish Baroque artist known for his religious paintings, still life works, and portraits. His paintings often featured a stark realism, with a focus on the human figure and its relationship to the divine. His work was deeply influenced by Caravaggio and the Spanish Golden Age, and his works can be seen in many of the world's greatest galleries. His most famous works include 'Saint Serapion' and 'Saint Francis in Meditation'.
