Nikolai Aleksandrovich Yaroshenko (1846-1898) was a Russian realist painter, known for his landscapes and genre scenes. His works often depicted the rural life of his native Ukraine, and he was particularly known for his use of light and colour to create a sense of atmosphere. His works have been widely exhibited, and his paintings are held in several major museums.
