William Henry Pyne (1769-1843) was a British painter and engraver, best known for his watercolour illustrations of historical and literary works. He was a prolific artist, producing hundreds of works in his lifetime, including illustrations for books, prints, and portraits. Pyne was especially known for his detailed and accurate depictions of historical scenes and his ability to capture the spirit of a scene or character.
