Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec
1864 - 1901
Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec was a French Post-Impressionist painter and printmaker who is best known for his depictions of Parisian nightlife in the late 1800s. He was a master of capturing the energy of his subjects, from the colourful dancers at the Moulin Rouge to the prostitutes of the Parisian streets. His works are characterized by their bold colours and dynamic compositions, making them highly sought after in the art world.
