Georges Seurat
1859 - 1891
Georges Seurat was a French Post-Impressionist painter, best known for pioneering the painting techniques of Pointillism and Divisionism. His most famous work, A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte, is a masterpiece of modern art, and is one of the most recognisable images in art history. Seurat's works are characterised by the use of small, distinct dots of colour and the use of geometric shapes, and his style has been an influence on generations of artists.
We have 57 artworks in our catalogue by Seurat available for order. Browse our full collection of Seurat prints, or browse other French or Pointillism artists.
Of our Prints and Others...

The quality of a Giclée fine art print may be generally reckoned from the weight, and therefore, thickness, of the printing paper that is used. That is, the heavier, weightier the printing paper that is used, the better the likely quality. Weight of paper is measured in 'Grams per Square Metre' or 'gsm' for short. So, without further ado...
