August Macke
1887 - 1914
August Macke (1887-1914) was a German Expressionist artist who is best known for his vivid, brightly coloured paintings. He was a member of the Expressionist group Der Blaue Reiter, and his works often depicted landscapes, cityscapes, and figures in a dreamlike and poetic style. Macke's art is characterised by its use of bold colours, geometric shapes, and a sense of movement. His works are highly sought after and are now considered some of the most important pieces of Expressionist art.
We have 212 artworks in our catalogue by Macke available for order. Browse our full collection of Macke prints, or browse other German or Expressionism artists.
