Ando Hiroshige (1797-1858) was a Japanese artist renowned for his woodblock prints of landscapes and cityscapes. He was born in Edo (present-day Tokyo) and was a member of the Utagawa school, the most prominent school of woodblock printmakers in Japan. Hiroshige's works are known for their vibrant colours and delicate lines, which capture the beauty of nature and everyday life in Japan. His works are highly sought after by collectors and are often featured in museums and galleries around the world.
