Josef Theodor Hansen (1867-1941) was a Danish painter and printmaker who is best known for his atmospheric landscapes of the countryside of Denmark. He was a master of the aquatint technique and his prints are characterised by their use of subtle colours and delicate light. His work continues to be highly sought after and appreciated by collectors of fine art prints.
