Theodore Gericault
1791 - 1824
Theodore Gericault (1791-1824) was a French Romantic painter best known for his large-scale painting, The Raft of the Medusa. He was also a prolific draftsman and printmaker, creating a number of powerful and expressive prints that capture the drama of his paintings. His prints are highly sought after and are often seen as some of the finest examples of the Romantic period.
We have 56 artworks in our catalogue by Gericault available for order. Browse our full collection of Gericault prints, or browse other French or Romantic artists.
