Charles Francois Daubigny
1817 - 1878
Charles-François Daubigny was a French painter and printmaker who was a key figure in the Barbizon school of landscape painting. He was known for his landscapes of the French countryside, which were often painted en plein air, and for his innovative use of colour and light. He also produced a number of etchings and lithographs, often focusing on the same scenes he painted. Daubigny's works are held in many prominent art collections around the world.
We have 20 artworks in our catalogue by Daubigny available for order. Browse our full collection of Daubigny prints, or browse other French or Realism artists.

The quality of a Giclée fine art print may be generally reckoned from the weight, and therefore, thickness, of the printing paper that is used. That is, the heavier, weightier the printing paper that is used, the better the likely quality. Weight of paper is measured in 'Grams per Square Metre' or 'gsm' for short. So, without further ado...
