Annibale Carracci was an Italian Baroque painter and printmaker who was a major influence in the development of the Baroque style. He is best known for his frescoes in the Palazzo Farnese in Rome and his influential prints, which combined a bold use of line and colour with a naturalistic approach to composition. His work had a lasting impact on Italian art and was highly influential in the development of the Rococo and Neoclassical styles.
