Elisabeth Louise Vigee-Lebrun (1755-1842) was a French painter renowned for her portraits of the royal family and other prominent figures of the time. She was one of the most celebrated artists of her era and is remembered for her skillful use of colour, her ability to capture the essence of her subjects, and her unique style of painting.
