Julius Caesar Ibbetson (1759-1817) was an English painter and draughtsman, best known for his landscapes and rustic scenes. He was a student of the great landscape painter, Paul Sandby, and was a member of the Royal Academy of Arts. His works are characterised by their attention to detail, and his use of light and shade to create a sense of atmosphere. Ibbetson's works are highly sought after and are held in many prestigious collections.
