George Leslie Hunter (1877-1931) was a Scottish painter who is best known for his landscapes and portraits. He was born in Glasgow and studied at the Glasgow School of Art from 1898-1902. He was a member of the Glasgow Boys and the Glasgow School, a group of artists that sought to capture the spirit of the Scottish landscape. Hunter's works often featured the rural landscape of Scotland, as well as scenes from everyday life. His works are characterised by their bright colours and bold brushstrokes, which create a sense of movement and energy. Hunter's works are still highly sought after today, and his prints can be found in many galleries and museums around the world.
