Willem Claesz Heda (1594-1680) was a Dutch painter and draughtsman of the Dutch Golden Age. He is best known for his still life paintings, which often featured food and drink, as well as other objects such as musical instruments, books and vases. His work was highly influential in the development of the genre of still life painting, and his work has been widely reproduced in prints.
