Frederick Goodall (1822-1904) was a British artist known for his Romantic landscape paintings. He studied under renowned English painter William Hilton and was a member of the Royal Academy of Arts. His works often featured biblical and historical scenes, as well as romanticised views of the English countryside. He was a popular and highly sought-after artist in his time, and his work continues to be celebrated today.
