Pieter De Hooch
1629 - 1684
Pieter de Hooch (1629-1684) was a Dutch painter of the Baroque period, famous for his genre paintings of domestic interiors. His works are admired for their subtlety of colour, light and texture, and for their delicate representations of everyday life. He is also known for his use of perspective and his ability to capture the beauty of everyday moments.
